Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry and Western Region Dental Hygiene Symposium Joint Annual Session
September 15-18, 2022 • San Diego, CA
Welcome to a Celebration of Interdisciplinary Dentistry at the 70th Annual Meeting of the Western Society of Periodontology (WSP), the 21st Annual Meeting of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED) and the 3rd Annual Western Region Dental Hygiene Symposium (WRDHS). The dates to mark on your calendar are September 15-18, 2022 in San Diego, CA.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “Achieve Dynamic Synergies Through Interdisciplinary Teams”. Please join us for this exciting in-person learningevent and create a true interdisciplinary vision for your dental practice as you learn from the Giants in multidisciplinary care. This year’sspeakers include Pascal Magne, Joseph Choukroun, Howard Gluckman, Jean Wu, Alina Krivitsky, Cliff Ruddle, Peter Nordland, Abdi Sameni plus many more world-renowned speakers. WSP & AMED share a mutual goal of bringing together periodontists, restorative dentists, hygienists, and auxiliary team members for genuine collaboration. This year’s event will focus on the entire dental team and we want YOU to be a part of it. Whether you are a surgeon, restorative dentist or a dental hygienist there are opportunities to advance your skills and knowledge from our World-Class Presenters.
As a special feature this year, Saturday will offer one General Session for ALL of our attendees to see great multidisciplinary teamwork with three Intradisciplinary Teams. A focus on communication tools used between each of the specialists in each team will be demonstrated. Mastering these communication skills will help your personal interdisciplinary team achieve the best esthetic and functional result for your patients.

At the same time, the Western Region Dental Hygiene Symposium offers dental hygienists three days of unparalleled dental education. This year’s presenters include some of the best Hygiene has to offer….Anna Pattison, Susan Wingrove, Kathy Bassett, Heather Rogers, Lynn Atkinson, Arvie Malik, Claire Jeong, Tricia Osuna & Sherri Lukes.

Finally, the Hands-On opportunities that we have scheduled will be available for those wanting to improve their skills or learn the dental microscope.
Special Note: This year’s WSP Annual Session will be translated live into the following languages: For your event in September, you will have access to Bengali, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. And Languages of Arabic, Indonesian (Bhasa), Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Tamil, and Vietnamese will also be available.
