He has lectured to both Oral Surgery and Periodontal Societies on soft tissue issues relative to dental implants. Have you thought about how medical and recreational marijuana use may impact you as a practitioner? This course will discuss your possible liabilities in the treatment of patients using this drug. With states legalizing marijuana, it will be challenging to address just how to safely provide dentistry to our patients. We’ll discuss how to make common-sense decisions on a topic that may prove to be very challenging in the future. We will also discuss the basic history, method of use, myths, and provide a general knowledge of this complex and ever-changing topic.

About HEATHER ROGERS:

Heather Rogers began her career in dental hygiene in 1999 when she graduated from the College of Southern Nevada. She has worked in prosthodontics, periodontics, and general dentistry. Heather discovered her love for presenting educational courses while achieving her bachelor’s degree and being involved with her professional association. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2010, and is currently providing continuing education for professionals in communications, diabetes, COPD, vaping, implant maintenance, probiotics, instrumentation, metabolic syndrome, marijuana, and infection control.
