DR. LAURENCE S. AMBROSE, DDS, MS
Dr. Ambrose is a board certified periodontist and has been a full-time staff member at the VA Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona since 1998. He is also Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He received his certificate in Periodontics from the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and his Master of Science degree through Marquette University. From 1991 to 1995 he was a Commissioned Officer with the United States Public Health Service and practiced general dentistry on numerous Indian Reservations in northern New Mexico. He is currently an officer with the Western Society of Periodontology and is Past President of the Arizona Society of Periodontists.
LINDA BROOKMAN, RDH, BSDH, MSHS
Linda Brookman is an Associate Professor of clinical dentistry in the Department of Dental Hygiene and
in the Division of Dental Public Health & Pediatric Dentistry at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. She has directed courses in dental hygiene at the undergraduate and graduate level. Professor
Brookman is the Co-director of the Neighborhood Mobile Dental Van Prevention Program where she supervises dental hygiene students who provide preventive oral health services to children in inner-city
elementary schools in Los Angeles. Prof. Brookman is also the supervising dental hygiene faculty for the Geriatric Mobile Dental Unit at Hollenbeck Skilled Nursing facility. She has worked in private practice in general, prosthodontics, and periodontics and has taught in academia for 17 years. She has co-taught nationally and internationally with Ms. Anna Pattison on Advanced Instrumentation for Non-Surgical Periodontal Treatment. She has lectured nationally and abroad on Interprofessional Education/Collaboration and Mobile and Tele-dentistry. Ms. Brookman has published articles in peer-reviewed
journals on instrumentation and mobile dentistry. She has collaborated with a dental service organization and created pilot-programs for RDHAPs to provide oral health care in alternative settings in the community. She is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), a member of ADEA, ADHA, AO, SCDA, WSP, CDHA, and CDHEA.
JODI DEMING, RDH
Jodi started practice as a dental hygienist in 1988. In the early 1990’s frustrated with the understanding of the etiology of periodontal disease became involved with biofilm research. At that time the term was rarely used in dentistry except in the context of dental unit waterlines. As a clinical research associate Jodi was involved with biofilm growth and therapeutic product development evaluating the effect on dental biofilms. Understanding biofilms, she developed a passion about non-surgical therapy, root morphology, and the results of thorough periodontal debridement. Jodi has worked 28 years mastering non-surgical periodontal therapy techniques and procedures. She currently works in both periodontic and prosthodontic practices. Jodi is a national and international educator, clinician, and lecturer. She has presented over a 150 lectures and workshops on advanced integration of ultrasonic and hand instrumentation. Jodi has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry, Department of Dental Hygiene and at Spear Education. She is a Friends of Hu-Friedy Thought Leader valued for her involvement with biofilm research, instrument development and training. She is nationally recognized as an expert in endoscope and ultrasonic instrumentation.
MARIA PERNO GOLDIE, RDH, BA, MS
Maria graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Hygiene and is a 2003 winner of the Pfizer/ADHA Award for Excellence in Dental Hygiene and the 2011 Alfred C. Fones Award. She earned her BA in Health Services Administration from Saint Mary’s College and a MS in Health Science from San Francisco State University. She’s owner of Seminars for Women’s Health and Sex Based Medicine, that educates professionals about differences in health & disease between men and women, communication styles, and the link between oral and general health. She conducted research with the late Dr. Margaret Walsh on smokeless tobacco at the University of California, San Francisco. Maria is co-editor of the textbook: Dental Hygiene – Applications to Clinical Practice. Maria served as the 1997-98 President of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), served on an advisory panel to develop “The Future of Dental Hygiene Report.”, and was the President of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH) 2010-2013.
DR. ARASH HAKHAMIAN, DDS, FIADFE
Dr. Arash Hakhamian is a graduate of the USC School of Dentistry practicing in Southern California. In addition to owning and operating several dental clinics in California, Dr. Hakhamian is the co-founder and CEO of Dentulu, a technology company serving mobile and teledentists based out of Southern California. Dr. Hakhamian comes form a long line of dental professionals and has lectured on a variety of topics including office management, dental surgery, implantology, online Marketing and the Uberization of Dentistry. He currently serves on the board of directors of several dental startup companies and enjoys traveling to 3rd world countries providing mobile dental care to underserved communities around the world. He was chosen by Incisal Edge Magazine as one of the top 40 Dentists under 40 years of age in 2018 and as one of the Top 100 Dentists World wide by the Top100Docs. Dr. Hakhamian also serves as one of the founders of the Global Dental Implant Academy and the International Extraction Academy.
CLAIRE JEONG, MS, RDH
Claire is an entrepreneur, author, educator, researcher, and international speaker. She is the founder of SmarterDA/StudentRDH–dental assisting and dental hygiene exam prep solutions. In addition, she created DentalToaster, one of the easiest to use online CE websites for dental professionals. Through her live and online courses, Claire has helped thousands of people gain valuable dental knowledge and clinical skills. She authored the e-book Wake-Up Memory, which teaches how to use the brain and remember anything. Claire is regularly invited to podcasts and conferences as a key opinion leader. She also provides guidance to companies to reach the younger generation of dental professionals.
HEATHER KELLEY, RDH, MSDH
Heather is currently the Professional Relations Manager for TePe Oral Health Care, Inc. She
received her Master of Science in dental hygiene from Idaho State University and Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from Indiana University. She has worked ten years clinically as a hygienist in both periodontal and general practices. Heather has been adjunct faculty at both Pasadena Community College and Pacific University instructing both clinically and in didactic. She has served and supported the American Dental Hygienists’ Association at both the state and local levels as Treasurer, Trustee, and as a delegate. Heather has presented CE lectures related to homecare and advocacy for underserved populations. She is passionate about dental homecare and developing patient responsibility in managing their personal oral and overall health.
DR. THOMAS J. KEPIC, DDS, MSD
Dr. Thomas J. Kepic is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is a former Director for the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Kepic was president for the California Society of Periodontists in 2011 and is past president of the WSP. He is a guest lecturer at several universities in the U.S. and abroad and has published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Kepic practices in Upland, California.
TRICIA OSUNA, RDH, BSDH, FAADH
Tricia is a University of Southern California graduate, Past President and Fellow of the American Academy
of Dental Hygiene and Past President of the California Dental Hygienists’ Association. In June of 2018 Tricia will celebrate 40 years as a dental hygienist to share with her audiences. Her lengthy background in clinical practice along with education has offered her the opportunity to share real-life clinical experiences in her courses for over 25 years. She has been extremely involved in leadership in her profession for her entire career as an enthusiastic lifelong CDHA and ADHA member and a dedicated advocate for advancing the profession. She was appointed to the Dental Board of California in 2002 for a four-year term. Tricia is the 2015 recipient of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Alfred C. Fones Award for her dedication to leadership. Also recognized for her many efforts and contributions to the Dental Hygiene profession, Tricia has received several awards including the CDHA’s President’s Recognition Award, the ADHA Bausch and Lomb Distinctions in Dental Hygiene Award and the ADHA Distinguished Service Award. An author, clinician, educator, consultant, international presenter, mentor and business owner her passion for dental hygiene radiates in her presentations!
NOEL PASCHKE, RDH, MS
A Dental Hygiene graduate of the University of Maryland, Dental School, Noel received her Master
of Science degree from the Johns Hopkins University. Her clinical experiences are in general practice, periodontics, hospital dentistry and veterinary dentistry. Noel is former faculty at the University of
Maryland, School of Dentistry, and the Johns Hopkins, School of Medicine. Noel has many years of corporate experience leading the education teams for Dentsply, Philips and ACTEON. She invented a new
ultrasonic scaling technique improving clinician ergonomics and efficiency, after treating her Cockapoo, Rudy. She brings clarity to clinicians using ultrasonic technologies through her company, Ultrasonics Plus, providing speaking and hands-on workshops.
ANNA MATSUISHI PATTISON RDH, MS
Anna is a former Associate Professor and Chair of Dental Hygiene at the Ostrow School of Dentistry
at USC. She is coauthor of Periodontal Instrumentation and has contributed to Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology. She was Editor-in-Chief of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene and is now Co-Director of the Pattison Institute which offers online videos, lectures and hands on workshops. An internationally recognized speaker on Advanced Periodontal Instrumentation, in 2005, she received the Pfizer-ADHA
Excellence in Dental Hygiene Award and the USC School of Dentistry Alumnus of the Year Award. In 2006 she received the California Society of Periodontists Award and in 2010 she was inducted into the USC School of Dentistry Hall.
DR. WILLIAM PAVELETZ, DMD
Dr. Paveletz is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. Upon receiving his DMD degree he
completed a one-year general practice residency at University of Pittsburgh and continued studying prosthetics at the Graduate Department of Pittsburgh Dental School. Currently he is VOCO’s North Americas Clinical Educator he lecturers nationally / internationally to dental retailers, dental societies and teaching institutions. Dr. Paveletz has been published in various dental trade publications regarding temporization techniques with dental implants, treating geriatric patients and fluoridation usage in adolescences. He has a true passion for preventative and restorative dentistry with an emphasis on biocompatibility and holistic dentistry. His hands-on workshops focus on topics ranging from dental coding and billing, hygiene, esthetic dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics, and Nano and ORMOCER technology.
JANET PRESS, RDH
Janet Press, RDH, Fellow of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, has 22 years clinical experience in soft tissue lasers. Ms. Press holds Standard Proficiency in both Diode and Nd: YAG lasers. Previously, Janet spent 10 years as co-director of the Dynamic Team and Laser Certification Programs at Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Studies (LVI). Janet speaks internationally on the successful practice model for Lasers in Dental Hygiene.
HEATHER M. ROGERS, RDH, BSDH
Heather began her career in dental hygiene in 1999 when she graduated from the College of Southern Nevada. She has worked in prosthodontics, periodontics, and general dentistry. Heather discovered her love for presenting educational courses while achieving her bachelor’s degree and being involved with her professional association. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2010 and is currently providing continuing education for professionals in communications, diabetes, implant maintenance, probiotics, infection control and marijuana.
MICHELLE STRANGE, RDH, BHS, MSDH
Michelle has been a clinician in dentistry since 2000 and currently is a practicing hygienist, surgical assistant, speaker, volunteer, educator in a dental hygiene program, lead clinical educator for TePe Oral Health Care, Inc., and podcast co-host for “A Tale of Two Hygienists”. She is a self-proclaimed dental nerd and sees the dental profession as not only her forever career path but her hobby. With a Master’s in Dental Hygiene education and a belief in lifelong learning, Michelle hopes to continue to learn and grow within the dental profession and one day see the gap bridged between medical and dental. Her experience as a hygienist began in a periodontal and implant driven office and has gained much experience with the maintenance of dental implants. Her passion is helping patients be successful at home with a goal of better oral health with a patient-centered approach.

Dr. Wiedemann is a Clinical Assistant Professor, full-time faculty member and Assistant Director for Advanced Programs in Oral Surgery / Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland at New York University, College of Dentistry, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. His career consists of more than 25 years of surgical and educational experience in an academic setting and successfully operating a private practice providing the full spectrum of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Implant Dentistry. He has special interests in dental emergency care, pain management, minimal invasive surgical strategies and techniques of the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He has acquired extensive expertise in implant surgery with multiple systems since 1995.
