  • Review streamlining approaches to desensitizing for better efficacy
  • Understand how to work with your dental team and patients to achieve optimal oral health

About WILLIAM PAVELETZ:

Dr. William Paveletz, DMD, is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry. Upon receiving his DMD degree he completed a one-year general practice residency at University of Pittsburgh and continued studying prosthetics at the Graduate Department of Pittsburgh Dental School. Currently he is one of VOCO’s North America Clinical Directors of Continuing Education. He lectures nationally/internationally to dental retailers, dental societies, and teaching institutions. Dr. Paveletz has been published in various dental trade publications regarding temporization techniques with dental implants, treating geriatric patients, and fluoridation usage in adolescences. He has a true passion for preventative and restorative dentistry, with an emphasis on bio compatibility and holistic dentistry. His hands-on workshops focus on topics ranging from dental coding and billing, hygiene, esthetic dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics, and nano and ormocer technology.

Updated protocols assist us in determining our patient’s specific needs. As we move towards a more collaborative profession, we need to embrace these updates to identify those needs. We are presented with continuous challenges of new advances in products and technology and their use in dentistry and are in need information to determine when and how to add them into our armamentaria. As professionals providing health services, our perception of product use along with protocols needs to be discussed with our team as well as the interdisciplinary refer- rals we have. The process of care (assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation) requires a comprehension of protocols, products and treatment options and how they are to be utilized.

Ms. Osuna is a lifelong CDHA/ ADHA member and a previous Member of the Dental Board of California. She is a Founding Member of the American Board of Facial Esthetics. Licensed in both California and New York, her experiences traverse the dental hygiene arena in a unique way spanning a variety of roles including Consultant, Clinician, Educator, International Presenter, Author, Mentor as well as the owner of Professional Insights, Inc.

With states legalizing marijuana, it will be challenging to address just how to safely provide dentistry to our patients. We’ll talk about how to make common sense decisions on a topic that has become our new normal. We will also discuss the basic history, method of use, myths, and provide a general knowledge of this complex and ever-changing topic.

About HEATHER ROGERS:

Heather M. Rogers began her career in dental hygiene in 1999 when she graduated from the College of Southern Nevada.  She has worked in prosthodontics, periodontics, and general dentistry. Heather discovered her love for presenting educational courses while achieving her bachelor’s degree and being involved with her professional association. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2010 and is currently providing continuing education for professionals in communications, diabetes, implant maintenance, probiotics and infection control.

About HEATHER ROGERS:
