About IAN McNICKLE, MBA
Ian McNickle is a nationally recognized marketer, writer, and speaker. He has developed significant expertise in online marketing, website optimization & conversion, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click marketing (PPC), social media, video marketing, online reputation management, marketing strategy, and related topics. In addition, he has developed a set of critical KPI’s (key performance indicators) for measuring the effectiveness of any marketing program. Ian lectures all over North America at dental conferences, study clubs, dental societies, and conducts numerous seminars and webinars. His teaching style breaks down the complexities of dental marketing in an easy to understand approach that the non-marketer can comprehend and implement. He also writes articles for Dental Products Report and The Progressive Dentist on various aspects of digital marketing. Prior to co-founding WEO Media Ian worked in the high-tech industry for 10 years in various engineering and management positions at Siltronic and Xerox. He left high-tech in 2006, and founded a regional marketing consulting firm which he ran for several years before eventually co-founding WEO Media in 2009. Ian has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University where he was also a graduate of the University Honors Program. In addition, he graduated Cum Laude with an MBA from the University of Washington. Ian is an avid endurance athlete having competed in Ironman triathlon, marathon, and ultramarathon events. His favorite activity is simply spending time with his wife Andrea, and three kids Evelyn, Morgan, and Brendan. PERIODONTAL-SYSTEMIC LINKS: THE CASE FOR EARLY INTERVENTION OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE CASEY HEIN, BSDH, RDH, MBA Course Description Are you under-diagnosing or waiting too long to diagnose periodontal disease? This course explores the significance of periodontal infection in increasing systemic inflammation, and provides a compelling rationale for early intervention of periodontal disease. Casey also discusses the role of the nonbacterial risk factors in amplifying the threat of periodontaldisease, and reviews the components of a comprehensive periodontal evaluation, proposing a number of hurdles and conditioned assumptions that hijack diagnosis of periodontal disease. About CASEY HEIN, BSDH, RDH, MBA ![]() Casey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University, a MBA from Loyola University and maintains a faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor in the School of Dental Hygiene. She was accepted into the National Speakers’ Association in 2008, and she has been continuously voted among Dentistry Today’s Top 100 Clinicians/Consultants in Continuing Education since 2006. She lives in Western Maryland where she is an avid road biker, skier and hiker. JODI DEMING, RDH ![]() with the understanding of the etiology of periodontal disease became involved with biofilm research. At that time the term was rarely used in dentistry except in the context of dental unit waterlines. As a clinical research associate Jodi was involved with biofilm growth and therapeutic product development evaluating the effect on dental biofilms. Understanding biofilms, she developed a passion about non-surgical therapy, root morphology, and the results of thorough periodontal debridement. Jodi has worked 28 years mastering non-surgical periodontal therapy techniques and procedures. She currently works in both periodontic and prosthodontic practices. Jodi is a national and international educator, clinician, and lecturer. She has pre-sented over a 150 lectures and workshops on advanced integration of ultrasonic and hand instrumentation. Jodi has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry, Department of Dental Hygiene and at Spear Education. She is a Friends of Hu-Friedy Thought Leader valued for her involvement with biofilm research, instrument development and training. She is nationally recognized as an expert in endoscope and ultrasonic instrumentation. |
